SMPTE2022 Video over IP Reference Design with JPEG2000 or TICO
The SMPTE2022 FPGA reference designs combine on a single FPGA intoPIX JPEG2000 compression cores with a third party SMPTE2022-1/2 to carry HD or 4K video over 1 GbE or 10GbE IP Network.
This reference design brings future 4K upgrade capability over 1 GbE and 10 GbE network infrastructure.
In collaboration with Macnica or with Xilinx, intoPIX can deliver readyto-use SMPTE 2022 reference design that have successfully participated in the J2K VSF Interop Event during Vidtrans 2014.
Compliant with the VSF (Video Services Forum) Technical Recommendation, “Transport of JPEG 2000 Broadcast profile video in MPEG-2 TS over IP”, intoPIX JPEG 2000 and MPEG-2 TS cores, guarantee a faster time to market to new adopters. The design has been successfully connected with the equipment of major players of the broadcast market. It answers broadcasters’ needs for a cost-effective and reliable solution to enable them to migrate toward IP networks for video transport such as contribution links.

SMPTE2022-5/6 : Future versions
intoPIX’s new TICO lightweight visually lossless compression technology, with few pixel lines of latency, can be used as a smart way to map 4K video over SMPTE2022-5/6 10G infrastructure without any impact on latency.
