The Ultra High Resolution JPEG 2000 Encoder & Decoder familly of IP cores goes beyond the resolution limit for processed images (usually 4096 x 4096 pixels) and allows pictures of any resolution to be compressed. It is the only hardware JPEG 2000 codec that allows the processing of Ultra HD images (8K : 7680 x 4320 or 8192x4320 pixels).

With such a rapid evolution of available image resolution, the need for highly efficient image compression is bigger than ever before. intoPIX offers now a range of IP-cores that can adress very high resolution.
