intoPIX expands their offices to support the growing investment in research, development & innovation

Mont Saint Guibert, Belgium – October 28th, 2018 – intoPIX, the leading technology provider of innovative image processing and video compression, today announced an office expansion following its successful business, research development and innovation (RD&I) expansion over the past years. intoPIX has grown their offices to twice the previous size at their headquarters in Mont St. Guibert.

On top of the broadcast and digital cinema industries that intoPIX serves since many years, the rising need for image compression in new sectors such as automotive, professional AV, consumer electronics and industrial vision have led to a growing demand for the company’s innovative solutions.

“Nowadays video is omnipresent in our daily lives. But with the simultaneous increase in video quality and resolution, data amounts are becoming an issue. Our newly developed low-power video compression technologies allow high quality video to be easily transferred over lower bandwidth connections. This accelerates the progress in new technologies such as AR/VR and autonomous vehicles,” says Jean-Baptiste Lorent, Director of Marketing & Sales at intoPIX.

intoPIX’s latest intellectual property developments, including TICO and its ISO JPEG XS standardization (to be released by the end of the year) has led the company to expand their research development & innovation department.

As leading actor in the office expansion project, COO Alain Wislet points out that: “The Axis Park remains to be a perfect location for an internationally acting tech firm like intoPIX. Major transportation possibilities are within immediate reach and our employees value the accessibility, local food possibilities and proximity to a European capital like Brussels.”

intoPIX is continuously looking for further talents to keep up the pace of technological innovations developed by the Belgian firm. Open positions include hardware design engineers, software engineers and field application engineers (www.intopix.com/join-us).
