Gaël Rouvroy - PhD
Gael is a leading expert in electronic design and image algorithms. Gael's specializations are secure and reconfigurable hardware compression, cryptographic hardware, block ciphers, DRM, watermarking, image and video compression. Co-founder of intoPIX, he is today Chief Executive Officer and director of technology. He holds an electronics and mechanics engineering Master Degree and PhD from the Université catholique de Louvain (Belgium). Gael is active in several standardisation committees, has presented over 30 papers on security, watermarking, image compression and design strategies for cost effective and low power implementations and is the inventor of several patents.
COO / CFO
Alain is the Chief Operating and Financial Officer of intoPIX since 2010. Hired in 2007 as General Manager, his mission is to organize, develop and ensure the sustainability of the company's growth. With a civil engineering degree from the University of Liège, Alain began his career as an IT manager in charge of the implementation of ERP systems in SMEs of the Aspel group. In 2002, he was appointed Finance & Administration Manager of the group. Alain's greatest strengths are his analytical and organizational skills, his reliability and his intellectual curiosity. At intoPIX he currently puts great emphasis on corporate governance and people development.
Director Marketing & Sales
Strategist, marketer and agile product leader attracted and motivated by team management, business development and new technologies. Jean-Baptiste Lorent joined intoPIX in 2007. He likes to set up, develop & execute marketing strategies for technology products in electronics and audio-visual industries. Jean-Baptiste has a strong effectiveness to capture the voice of the market and customer to drive product development and communication. He most recently held product management positions managing agile product development, being referred to as the Product Owner and representing the product to the customer. He is active in different standardization committees and alliances. He holds a business engineering Master Degree from the Louvain School of Management (Belgium).

A history of generating fast revenue growth, enhancing global market share and developing innovative & comprehensive technology solutions. An enthusiastic, driven, proactive team leader with proven ability to build strong strategic relationships with both industry powerhouses and promising start-ups. Introducing new business models to the technology industry, negotiating favorable agreements / IPR licenses, and leveraging a unique combination of executive, communication, networking, customer-oriented, and hands-on expertise is what make Katty so special to us.
Experienced application designer and deeply process-oriented, Pascal joined the intoPIX development team in its early days in 2006. He likes to share his experience with newcomers and external teams through guidelines, examples and methodologies. He truly believes in Agile methodologies to improve innovation cycles and the development team's productivity by heading to valuable, simple and robust designs. Constantly analyzing internal and external feedback, he proposes effective and sustainable solutions to organize teams and create tools to best serve the users of intoPIX's technologies. He is a team leader in algorithmic research for image and video compression and inventor of several patents.
Charles Buysschaert holds a Master's degree in Electro-mechanical engineering from the Université Catholique de Louvain (UCLouvain) in Belgium. He started his career as embedded software developer in the automotive and then joined the broadcast industry, working at Grass Valley. In 2009, he joined intoPIX bringing a complementary software expertise to the development team. He has since created and grown this software team to deliver 100% software-driven products like FastTICO-XS CPU & GPU libraries. Charles also contributed to the development of TICO and JPEG-XS algorithms mainly in the software modeling aspect.
Renaud holds a Master's degree in Electro-mechanical engineering from the Université Catholique de Louvain (UCLouvain) in Belgium. He started his career as researcher in low-power digital circuit design during 4 years. He joined the intoPIX R&D team in 2008 where he actively participated in the creation of the first compression IPs. After six years, he joined the production team to support our growth. He bring his in-depth video compression and hardware expertise to help the team and all our customers and partners to create successful products with fast-time to market. Renaud is actively connected to our R&D to continue to develop solutions that our customers love!
