Simplifies the integration of The World's Most Efficient JPEG XS Software into GStreamer !
intoPIX has expanded its powerful FastTicoXS SDK, widely acclaimed for ultra-low-latency, visually lossless JPEG XS encoding/decoding, by releasing a Codec Plugin Pack for GStreamer. This extends seamless integration of the FastTicoXS codec into GStreamer-based pipelines—opening up advanced, high-performance media workflows for developers, broadcasters, and AV professionals.
What’s FastTicoXS SDK?
Why this new GStreamer Codec Plugin Pack Matters for JPEG XS
- Build extremly low latency applications thanks to the SDK's speed and embedded low latency API.
- Boost performance with native support of large pixel format sets, avoiding costly conversion.
Support master/proxy workflows : generating low-res instant previews, while decoding full-res masters as needed. ...

The new Codec Plugin Pack for Gstreamer comes with all that's needed to start building your pipeline.
- FastTicoXS Encoder plugins (for our CPU or GPU SDK) accept uncompressed video (e.g., raw frames) and outputs JPEG XS stream packets. These packets can be transported (e.g., via MPEG-TS, RTP or IPMX/ST 2110) or stored.
- FastTicoXS Decoder plugins receive the compressed stream and output decoded video for further processing, playback, or storage.
With the launch of FastTicoXS SDK integrated into GStreamer via a dedicated plugin pack, intoPIX unlocks powerful, low-latency JPEG XS workflows for the open-source GStreamer ecosystem. Whether you're building low latency video distribution systems, streaming apps, or live production systems —this integration dramatically simplifies adoption while delivering top-tier performance.
Integrating intoPIX codecs into GStreamer with our codec pack is just one step in achieving true end-to-end low-latency performance. From optimized transport protocols to efficient buffering and synchronization strategies, our team understands every link in the real-time video chain.
