ISE 2018 recap

​Another record-breaking ISE show has come to an end and we are more than excited to see and be part of the rapid advances in high quality video display and transport. 

This year 1300 exhibitors used the show to display and introduce their technologies to more than 80.000 visitors. 


Out of all the highlights presented, these have specifically caught our eye:


TICO -> JPEG-XS in its final stages!

During his speech on Friday, video compression expert Francois-Pierre Clouet presented the latest advances of our TICO compression technology and its involvement in the upcoming JPEG-XS standard. Read more about the future game-changer JPEG-XS.

8K projection is already a thing!

At a time when only the first 4K projectors are coming in at affordable prices, ISE this year was stage to the first commercially available 8K projector. While 8K video transport is still seen as troublesome, solutions are actually not hard to implement. Read more ...

ProAV and Broadcast are drawing closer together.

With video over IP becoming more popular in both industries, new standards such as the SMPTE ST2110 are simplifying the switch to IP for creating managed IP network infrastructures.
